Fighting raged in Erpin. Several Ukrainian soldiers that I knew lived in this city. They were literally fighting close to their residence!

Artillery fire gradually destroyed buildings, including beautiful new condos. On a certain day, a soldier was checked on the condition of his condo located not far from recent fighting. The building was almost intact, apart from a few broken windows. There was only one shell impact and it was right at the location of the soldier's apartment! Rather than feel sorry for it, the soldier found a way to laugh about it!
