Volunteers for Ukraine!
There is development: the volunteers must now go to the city of Rzeszow, in Poland. This is Staging Area 1. Staging Area 2 is on the Ukrainian side. We'll put you in touch with the right people. Be flexible. Don't be passive and expect everything to be sorted out for you. Take the initiative!
Rzeszow is near Krakow, an international airport. In my opinion, if you hike between Krakow and Rzeszow dressed in camouflage, you can easily reach your destination. The Poles support the fighting of the Ukrainians because they too are threatened.
Speed of deployment is key. We must get to the front as quickly as possible. Speed is more important than thoroughness. Don't wait until your preparations are perfect to go.
To note:
-If you make a stopover in Europe asking you for a transit A visa and you are coming from Canada or America, you will not have to obtain this visa. So you don't have that problem.
-There is no quarantine for those joining Ukraine, Polish side.
- Screening tests are available at airports. To board it is generally enough to answer a questionnaire.
-You do not have to hide the reasons for your arrival from customs officials in Poland (the reason being to join the front in Ukraine). The Polish authorities are proud to help the cause.
-It is possible for you to be recruited by the Ukrainian Army by going directly through the Ukrainian embassies. However, it takes longer. I encourage you to simply physically go to the places mentioned above. Again, remember that speed is crucial, not order and thoroughness.
